Blossom Trees

If you can’t make it to Japan, where the Cherry blossom looks absolutely stunning at this time of year, pop down the Coles Plant Centre to see our range of ‘blossom’ trees. There are so many to choose from, one for every need.

There are pink or white flowering, some with delicate single petals others with more blousy double flowers.

We also sell some weeping varieties e.g. Prunus serrulata Kiku-shidare. If you don’t have much space in your garden, but you would like the confetti show of a flowering cherry, try Prunus serrulata Amanagowa also known as the flagpole cherry.

If you want a variety has the most amazing bark that is also silky smooth to touch try Prunus serrula (the Tibetan Cherry). We even have Prunus incisa kojo-no-mai, a small variety of ornamental cherry that grows no more than 6ft with its bell shaped flowers and zig-zag stems.

A sure sign that spring is here and the growing season is well under way is to see the Cherry blossom out. So pop down and see what we have to offer. For the Coles Garden Club members there is DOUBLE DISCOUNT during April 2018 on all Prunus, including those used for hedging. If you aren’t a member already it’s totally free to join – please click HERE if you’d like to join/know more.

Do pop in to get ideas for planted containers to give as gifts.

If dead-headed regularly pansies can last for months. Feed from the end of March, once a week, with a potash based liquid feed such tomato feed, Miracle-Gro or Seaweed (all of which can be purchased from our shop).

Happy Gardening!
